Last week we held the fourth round of’iXS European Downhill Cup, the race was held in Pile (Italy). On the Italian circuit, designed by the winner of World Cup 1997 Corrado Herin, has won the Swedish Robin Wallner (Team Are Bike Park) while among women it was to triumph Floriane Pugin (Scott 11). The race was characterized by weather dancers: Saturday morning the sun, qualifications in the middle of the afternoon it rained, making the track very slippery and treacherous. In the video highlights of the Italian race.

Proserpio Giacomo has made a little’ of shots to tell the Italian race, here's PhotoStory.

Robin Wallner (Are Bike Park) has won the race and finished in first position ahead of compatriot Oscar Härnström (Pila Black Arrows). Wallner had mechanical problems in qualifying, enough to qualify away from the virtual podium. But on Sunday the retracted position in qualifying has a winning. The Swede was able to run his race, Sunday, before he unleashed a real storm.

The path, made slippery by rain, has not claimed a few victims. Lorenzo Suding (Pila Black Arrows) was among those. The Italian was getting really loud. For him the podium seemed to be insured, but in the last curve before the last jump is dropped. Result: a dozen stitches in his arm and anger.

A very positive season for Oscar Härnström (Pila Black Arrows). A Pile the Swede managed to take second position absolute. But were not all “roses and flowers”. A big crash in qualifying, in which he reported a good number of contusions, relegherà away from the first but doing so in competition leaves before the arrival of the rain.

Floriane Pugin (Scott11) engaged on a path of dropping the Pile. Certainly the Pugin is one of the best female performers of international downhill. The victory of the race went right to her that she raised, again, Driving a clean and fast.

Damien Spanish (MS Mondraker) in action between the rocks Pile. The French rider will be classified in fourth position. With points earned in Italy, Spanish strengthens its position in the standings: first twenty-six points ahead of Robin Wallner.

Red Cersar (MS Mondraker) and Markus Pekoll (MS Mondraker). The engineer and the rider will exchange impressions and recommendations before the race. Red was ranked first in qualifying.

Emilie Siegenthaler (Scott 11) is ranked in second place right behind teammate. Among the Italian instead Alia Marcellini (Torpado Surfing Shop) not be able to do better than the eighth position. Better than you Elisa Canepa, fourth at the finish.

Robin Wallner cheers after the game. The Swede won the Italian race and reduce the gap in the overall standings of the European series of downhill.

After the victory in Val d'Isere (French), Brook MacDonald (MS Mondraker) is certainly very motivated. Here he is in action at the Italian circuit. MacDonald also, with points earned, strengthens the fourth position in the standings.

Emmeline Ragot (MS Mondraker) visibly tested after the race. Closes third but was immediately taken to hospital after suffering a violent fall.
