Niner update models Jet 9 for 2013. For the next season, in fact, versions will be available RDO and Carbon.
The Niner Jet 9 RDO 2013 is reviewed in some characteristics, the rear abutment is brought to the one that now is increasingly becoming a standard for the manufacturers or the rear axle by 142x12mm. The bandwagon Jet 9 RDO will be carbon and also the engineers Niner have anchored the cart to the front triangle through a new system of sealed bearings oversize called Enduro Magnetite Black Max.

Even if the external layout of the wagon is not changed, George Parry (ingegnere Niner) states that building efforts have focused on improving the consolidation of carbon by adding a special outer layer. This not only improves the quality of the bike but also makes improvements to the weight of the frame. Precisely for this reason there is no difference in weight between the last year's model and that of the next season, in fact the grams taken because of the greater rear abutment were recovered thanks to a better and more efficient weaving of carbon fiber.
The rear wheel is 100mm and the geometries are optimized for 100/120mm forks. The bottom bracket is a 73mm PFBB30, there are no problems, states Niner, to mount any type of crown (up to 40 teeth), but the same home recommend the installation of a second×10 in such a way as to prevent any problems of friction between the chain and the carbon sleeve. Still do not know whether this will be a model of Jet 9 with the new system XX1.
