Today the Crankworx of Whistler was the day of the contest NON-highest official certify the week: the Whip Off World. In his second year of life Whip Off World is the brainchild of Sven Martin (photographer) and Brad Benedict (rider Specialized USA). With the success he is getting the contest you can bet that soon will be included in the official program of events Crankworx. For two hours, riders from the world of racing and freeride dh were challenged to the sound of whip on a HUGE jump path Crabeapple. A jury of Martin, Benedict other photographers and then chose the best whip of the day. The official result was as follows: First place Tyler MacCaul, second Thomas Vanderham and third Cam Zink. Best scrub Ian Morrison, best whip not completed, What do you mean with a land not his own copy, Bernard Kerr.
The show is certainly not. The jury, In our opinion, held perhaps in a somewhat’ hasty, But first things first.
We begin with a classic that never fails: Brendan Fairclough.

A double win for the Australian team Kona: Connor Fearon followed by Mitch Delfs.

Eddie Masters, brother of the better known Wyn, New Zealand does not disprove the tradition: dependence on flip flops. Apparently the Kiwis as well use them to run large.

Not only whip!

The most blatant attempt to trick “non whip” goes under the name of an Italian, Nick Pescetto. Nick In fact, he attempted a back flip just as he was behind Andreu Lacondeguy. The landing is not managed carefully, however the performance was fantastic and left everyone in suspense. Great Nick!

A trackside crowds of spectators enjoyed the spectacle of the contest.

From above, the presence of Freeride Entertainments.

Kyle Strait.

The winner of the contest Tyler MacCaul.

Now we come to the most interesting part of the day. As we told you Bernard Kerr won the award for best whip with landing just could not. Now we were there and we guarantee that the landing of this whip was perfect. In our humble opinion no one today has got style Kerr, but above all, no one has “put to one side” as the English rider (The rear wheel was clearly in front of the front). Close look at the sequence below and you get an idea.

The winner for us today, no doubt about. Go Go Bernard!
